MiR06Cr

Description

Mitochondrial respiration medium, MiR06Cr, developed for respirometry with mitochondrial preparations - permeabilized muscle fibers. For preparation of MiR06Cr, see MiPNet22.10 MiR05-Kit. Catalase is protective, allows for reoxygenations with H2O2 injections, but prevents simultaneous measurement of H2O2 production. In the presence of creatine, less ADP is needed in permeabilized muscle fibers. This is advantageous when using the TPP+ electrode, because ADP has a high chemical side effect. The oxygen solubility factor of MiR06Cr is the same as for MiR05 and MiR05Cr = 0.92.

MiR06Cr = MiR06 + 20 mM creatine.

Abbreviation: MiR06Cr
