Power

Description

Power P [W = JΒ·s-1] is exergy per time, or force times flow, which cannot be created internally yet is not conserved but is dissipated (P < 0) in irreversible energy transformations at constant temperature and (barometric) pressure, T,p. Metabolic power and heat flux of irreversible processes are distinguished as the time rate of Gibbs energy and enthalpy changes, respectively.

Abbreviation: P [W]
